This filter was designed to provide protection to a preamp or receiver from high level A.M. broadcast frequency signals.     This filter is fitted with 75-ohm type F connectors and will provide out of band attenuation as seen in the chart below. Insertion loss is an average 2 dB in the pass band. Attenuation is a nominal 30 dB at 1630 KHz and as can be seen, much more at lower frequencies. The lower frequency corner is –3dB at 1.8 MHz.   This filter is intended for receiving applications only and is not engineered for higher power transmitting purposes. 3 1/4" X 2 1/8" X 1 3/8" package.

This 75-ohm band-pass filter is designed to provide receiving array protection from local high-powered A.M. broadcast stations.     This filter is fitted with 75-ohm type F connectors and will provide out of band attenuation as seen in the chart below. Insertion loss is an average 2 dB in the pass band. Attenuation is a 35 dB at 1600 KHz and as can be seen, much more at lower frequencies. The band pass 3-dB corners are at 1.8 MHZ and 2.0 MHz.

This product was designed to match the typical 75 ohm array output impedance to the common 50 ohm input impedance of a receiver. The transformers bandwidth stretches from 250KHz to 60 MHz. Matching the array to the receiver insures the array and its preamp will not have deteriorated IMD specifications as a result of system impedance mismatch. The 50 ohm connection is standard BNC and the 75 ohm connection is a type F connector.

This self contained oscillator was developed to help trouble shoot and verify that complex multiple element receiving arrays were working properly. It can be connected directly to 50 or 75 ohm coax systems or it can be connected to a Hi-Z Antenna (tm) system. One need only to switch the mode switch for either mode. This unit operates from the power of a 9 volt battery. The Led power indicator is designed to extinguish when the battery voltage drops below levels adequate for a fixed output signal.  With this unit one simply needs to connect it to each antenna or signal path in a multi-element array while measuring controller output to verify all array elements are working.
